B-Secur wins Technology Business of the Year

October 31, 2022 – B-Secur has been named ‘Technology Business of the Year’ at the 2022 Belfast Chamber Business Awards. 2022 was the biggest awards ceremony to date, with 20 individual categories of prizes being presented at the Gala evening in Crowne Plaza, Belfast. The ‘Technology Business of the Year’ category identified those technology-based businesses located in Belfast who show innovation and entrepreneurship.

Northern Ireland company, B-Secur spent many years immersed in deep scientific research in ECG biometric security which led us on a unique journey to develop heart health technology and drive better health outcomes for future generations.

In 2022 we launched HeartKey® 2.0, a suite of powerful ECG algorithms and analytics providing breakthrough levels of medical accuracy and efficiency through enhanced signal clarity as well as delivering FDA-cleared health data with actionable wellness insights. Our next generation software runs on both medical devices and implantables and consumer wearable devices. It can run on the device or via the cloud which greatly enhances the ability of healthcare providers around the world to deploy remote patient monitoring.

It puts medical grade data into the hands of those wearing these devices, greatly enhancing their ability to take their own heart health and wellbeing into their own hands. The software allows B-Secur to partner with world-leading technology companies, reducing time to market for next generation medical and consumer devices and platforms.

B-Secur Chief Executive Officer, Alan Foreman said everyone at the company is delighted at winning the award and described 2022 as a game-changer for B-Secur.

“We are thrilled to be recognised by the Belfast Chamber as Technology Business of the Year 2022 and very humbled against some incredible businesses in this category. While the recognition means a lot for our team, this is even more helpful as we seek to promote our ground-breaking and life saving technology to the world.

“We’re on a mission to keep Northern Ireland on the map in relation to advancing heart health technology and we are proud that the Belfast Chamber and prize sponsors RBC Brewin Dolphin and Bank of Ireland have shown their support in this way. Thank you”
