B-Secur is on a mission to revolutionise the way people experience technology in the connected world, everyday, by using their unique heartbeat.
To achieve this we've created HeartKey, a powerful suite of algorithms ready to be integrated with many devices from automotive to wearables.
The success of our business is based on the strength and expertise of our teams.
We work with some of the most talented developers, innovative engineers and strategic data scientists enhancing biometrics today.
We value our people and fully appreciate that creating innovative, market disrupting technology can only be achieved when the right team is deployed.
We also appreciate that working in technology attracts ambitious, forward thinking individuals eager to push boundaries and make new discoveries.
That's why we devised the personal innovation scheme.
Free innovation time
According to research, the average worker is only productive for two hours and 53 minutes, based on eight-hour working day.
Within the tech industry, things move fast so we need our team to remain agile and stimulated by their work.
That's why we allow our engineers time to work on their own technology, entirely separate to the work they complete under the name of B-Secur, but with accessibility to all business facilities, resources and network connections.
The success of this programme has been substantial for the mindset, productivity and creativity of the team.
Innovation at B-Secur
Some of the research presented has already inspired new novel areas of development within B-Secur.
Two members of the Algorithm team researched, produced and presented a paper at Computing in Cardiology (CinC) 2019 Singapore. Megan and Peter worked on the paper 'Randomly Under Sampled Boosted Tree for Predicting Sepsis from Intensive Care Unit Database’ in their free innovation time.
CinC is an international scientific conference that provides professionals from medicine, physics, engineering and computer science the opportunity to share and discuss their research.
B-Secur opened up their network to the pair who were then sponsored to attend the international event by Invest Northern Ireland (INI) a group dedicated to supporting new and existing tech companies and drive investment back to Northern Ireland Tech.
"This was our first experience at CinC, and it did not disappoint.
"The conference was exceptional in bringing a wealth of knowledge into one place, to present, network, collaborate and learn from experts in cardiology.
"Some of the research presented has already inspired new novel areas of development within B-Secur."
At B-Secur we know that business success is not a one-dimensional concept. It relies on employee self-development aligning with business expectations and demands.
We're dedicated to continuing to fuel our employee's creative freedom within our work environment.
