Being recognised as a startup to watch is hugely gratifying but being named as a startup looking to change the world is an accolade we were delighted to receive this week, courtesy of GP Bullhound and TechRadar.

B-Secur CEO Alan Foreman attended an event in Leeds recently, discussing the vibrant technology sector in the North of England, and showed the audience what’s next for B-Secur.

The event, run by independent tech strategists GP Bullhound, aimed to explore what it takes to succeed as a tech business in the North and was attended by rising technology companies and major investors.

Addressing the audience, Alan explained about B-Secur’s ambition to use our medical-grade ECG authentication technology for anything from unlocking an electronic device to opening a door.

Alan explained:

The world has gone digital in the last five to seven years. With more devices, apps and data out there more people are comfortable to share their personal and financial data, and that’s causing problems as hackers catch up. We’re working with the National Physical Laboratory to prove that the biometric data we have is as good, if not better than fingerprints as a unique identifier.
